In Showa 66, Japan has acquired significant control over the United States through its formidable economic power. A massive influx of immigrants has deeply embedded Japanese culture within the American continent. Once a global powerhouse, the United States has now become an unofficial colony of Japan, with the two cultures rapidly merging.
Chouko, a 19-year-old stuntwoman, arrives in Neo Yokohama (formerly Hollywood) with her sister to audition for a role in a new action movie. But her dreams are shattered almost immediately when a group of mysterious agents assassinates her and leaves her body in the wilderness outside the city. An unknown amount of time later, Chouko gasps for air as she rises from the soil, her life inexplicably renewed…..
